Mo Oshalla is a Speech-Language Pathologist, Executive Director, and owner of London-Elgin and Bluewater Speech & Language Services. He earned his Master of Health Science degree at the University of Toronto after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (with Distinction) from the University of Western Ontario. He is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario and nationally certified by Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).
Mo leads the clinics with extensive experience gained from years of work in the public sector, which varied from ICU swallowing and acute post-traumatic speech and language care to working with infants with developmental delays. He brought his experience to private practice to care for clients of all ages and impairments. To say that Mo’s interests and knowledge can be pegged down to one population or another wouldn’t do justice to what he brings to every clinical case, regardless of the age or diagnosis of the client. Believing in life-long learning, Mo carries certification in Hanen ® parent training programs (ITTTT and MTW), achieved PROMPT Level 2 and Cognitive-Communication Disorders Level 2, and dedicates many days of annual attendance at conferences and conventions to further his clinical knowledge. Although his caseload is full, Mo is always available as a consultant to families, other clinicians, and community organizations.
As part of his commitment to his community, Mo volunteers as Secretary for the Board of Directors for Milestones Children’s Centre. He also enjoys supporting local initiatives through sponsorships of fund-raising events for the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, the London and Area Brain Injury Association, the Strathroy Hospital and CPRI Christmas drives to make the holidays brighter for local families.
And somehow, Mo manages to always be there for his family, run (a lot!), and read comic books (DC only, please!)
Julie is a Speech-Language Pathologist who earned her Master of Clinical Science degree from Western University. She also holds a Bachelor of Applied Linguistics (Honours) from Brock University. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
Julie is from Petrolia and is our primary SLP in the Bluewater clinic. She has a particular passion for serving her community and has so far been welcomed with open arms by our clients and families in the Sarnia-Lambton area. They love her and we love her, too!
Julie has experience working with a broad spectrum of ages and diagnoses. At BSLS, her caseload takes her from playing on the floor with toddler with speech delays to sitting at the kitchen table helping adults who’ve experienced brain injuries.
Julie enjoys baking, teaching spin classes, and golfing. But she doesn’t just enjoy golf…she’s actually pretty good at it. So all of you lawyers out there looking to put together a winning team for fundraising tournaments, Julie is your ringer!
